12/30/2023 0 Comments Escape rosecliff island boat![]() A new mode called "Unlimited Seek & Find" is available at the main menu after completing the game and finding all the fifty locks, where the goal is to find every single item from each location as fast as possible. A relaxed mode, without the time constraints, can be selected at the start of the game.īesides the list items, each location has two hidden locks. The hint button highlights the position of one of the required objects, but takes 7,500 points from the score and about a minute to recharge after use. Some of the list items have riddles instead of the object name, like "collects nuts" for a squirrel, "cuts paper" for a pair of scissors, and so on. The main objective is to find and click on all the items from a list at the bottom of the screen, on locations around the island filled with assorted objects, within a time limit. (It also had some extremely challenging door puzzles that my grandma couldn't figure out.Escape Rosecliff Island is a hidden object game where the player takes the role of a castaway stranded on a mysterious and remote island. I would also recommend Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, but that one begins to involve ghosts, murder mysteries, and an air of unease that the previous two didn't have. They don't involve any supernatural stuff at all-the former deals with a "crime spree" (goofy people committing not-so-serious crimes) and the Queen of England's diamond being stolen (with a cast of zany characters). ![]() The three you chose are a great jumping off point, and Huntsville and Prime Suspects are in a very similar vein (seriously-they play almost identically to the Escape games, although they have more humor). I loved those games growing up, and they're just as bare bones as the Escape games by SpinTop. Hey! I bet it's already too late to respond to this, but two games I think would be right up her alley are Mystery Case Files: Huntsville and Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects. Things like, "here's some letters, what words can you make from them?", any suggestions along those lines? (or maybe install EA's gamestore, as it seems to have more of the SpinTop ones)Īre there any other games similar to Escape from Rosecliff Island you'd recommend to a non-computer-savy older woman?Īs an aside, she also likes word-games that aren't crossword puzzles. I'll install Steam, but put links to the games on the desktop for her. I need to be able to download them and put big icons on the desktop. No web-based games, as browsing the web would complicate things.I'm 95% sure she wouldn't want anything horror, witchcrafty (even if cutesy), or sexual.I figure I can just run stuff at a lower resolution so it gets stretched over her screen larger. Her vision isn't too good, but not terrible. ![]() She gets frustrated easily with computers, so the interface should be simple. This is not a genre I'm familiar with, and I need recommendations! ![]() She also likes Spider Solitaire, so I'll get her Mystery Solitaire: Secret Island by the same developer. I see the developer (SpinTop Games, developing for EA's Popcap division), so I'm going to pick up some other games from SpinTop, especially their other two with 'Escape' in the title (Escape the Elmerald Star, and Escape Whisper Valley). She particularly enjoyed Escape from Rosecliff Island, so I'm looking for more games similar to that one. I'm helping an older woman get a new PC set up, and she wants some games to help her memory/mind, or just to destress.
